In 1962 owner Lance Reventlow had a two-seat rear-engined Scarab race car built by the team of Dick Troutman & Tom Barnes, powered by a heavily-modified 239-cid Buick aluminum V8 complete with 11:1 compression and four Weber carburetors set on a cross-ram manifold.
A purpose-built tube chassis, 4-wheel independent coil spring suspension, front and rear disc brakes are among the construction highlights. Reventlow later sold the car and with an Oldsmobile V8 filled, A.J. Foyt won races with this unique California-built race car.
I was really impressed with the quality of the poster when it came. It looks really cool in my son's new apartment.
