When advertising the new 1954 Lincoln, durability and roadability was what it was promoted as incorporating in its overall design, and winning the 1,912-mile high-speed Mexican Carrera Pan-American Endurance Race was a big feather in their cap!  

The magazine ad featured a Lincoln race car along with a production Capri convertible. Big brakes, ball-joint suspension and a new 4-barrel carburetor were among the technical highlights of the 1954 Lincoln product line.
