For 1954, Chrysler Corporation finally came out with a true automatic transmission, the PowerFlite 2-speed, which could be push-started without damage to the internal gears.
Pictured here is the PowerFlite selector on the Dodge Firearrow III show car, complete with a wood-rimmed Nardi three-spoke steering wheel that highlights the Opal Blue dashboard. A rather unique aspect of the PowerFlite was that it did not include a "Park” selection. Thankfully, there was a parking brake.
Hands down, my favorite coffee cup. The best part is it looks great from all sides.
