I was really impressed with the quality of the poster when it came. It looks really cool in my son's new apartment.

The

1954 Dodge Firearrow III Coupe (Front)

In the early1950s, Dodge cars were known for reliability and dependability, however they lacked excitement. Designer Virgil Exner helped change the stodgy image. Among his accomplishments was the Firearrow III Coupe, done up in dazzling, metallic Opal Blue.

With its stylish body shell made in Turin, Italy, by Carrozzeria Ghia, the sleek sport coupe measured 55-inches high and ran on a standard 119-inch wheelbase production chassis.  The concept incorporated the Dodge "Red Ram" Hemi 241-cid V8 with 150 horsepower.

According to speed records, this car set a new all-time record for women race drivers. In September 1954, Betty Skelton, driver, pilot and model, ran 143.44 mph at the Chrysler Proving Grounds.  This dream car wasn't just built for show.
