'51 Pontiac Chieftain

Stylish Convertible For Her

Promoted as "America's Lowest-Priced Straight Eight" and for 1951 celebrating its Silver Anniversary, Pontiac was providing to buyers what the division proclaimed as "25 years of advanced engineering."

Front and side-mounted bumper guards were standard equipment and this was the era where bumpers really could be used as bumpers.
