1953 Cadillac Eldorado

A Dazzling New Model Named Eldorado

Translated from the Spanish word meaning "The Golden One," Cadillac's spectacular debut of the new Eldorado came in 1953 and featured distinctive styling and with a low, wraparound windshield, cut-down dipped doors and wire wheels as standard equipment.

These cars featured the traditional Cadillac taillights built into the fins and the five-passenger convertible weighed some 4799 pounds, powered by a V8 engine displacing 331 cubic inches delivering 210 horsepower. Luxury with style!
